Gary and Jennifer Nean

Gary and Jennifer Nean

Bounding happily toward the dog house near the back fence, Buddy was completely oblivious to the excited conversation taking place on the deck. (And to the fact that he had been such an integral part of the search for Gary and Jennifer Nean’s first home.) You see, in addition to a spacious kitchen, two full baths and Gary’s dreamed-of detached garage, the Neans wanted plenty of running room for a certain energetic golden lab. Happily, Rick Franz helped them negotiate a deal despite multiple offers. Much to the delight of Gary and Jennifer. Not to mention Buddy.

Mercer Island

Mercer Island is located near the south end of Lake Washington between Seattle and Bellevue. It has been a popular residential community for many leading figures in business, banking, medicine and other industries since the 1950s and has a population of approximately 22,000.

Luther Burbank Park, named for the well-known American horticulturist, is the scene for summer music concerts and plays. Located at the northeast end of the island, the park has swimming, playground and dock facilities as well.

Mercer Island has it's own newspaper, The Mercer Island Reporter, published weekly.
